Adding A Profile
Watch a how-to video here.
When you're just getting started with Channels, you'll need to connect your social profiles. Connecting your social profiles allows you to see your data in a central location.
To get started, click on Add Profile.
Your social profile list will appear in a vertical list within the Channels tab. This is where all your connected social profiles will be hosted.
Only Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest are viewable on the Channels tab. Other social profiles including Google+, LinkedIn, and Bitly are unavailable in Channels.
To add a profile, click + Add Profile to the selected network.
In this case, we're going to connect a Twitter profile.
This will launch the authorization page.
Go ahead and sign in using your credentials and click Authorize app.
This will allow your Channels to:
- Read Tweets from your timeline.
- See who you follow, and follow new people.
- Update your profile.
- Post Tweets for you.
- Access your direct messages.
But Channels will not be able to:
- See your email address.
- See your Twitter password.
Note: Social Media Application is the name of the app created by NUVI.
Twitter (the network) will authorize and redirect your back to Social Profiles. Here, your newly added profile will be displayed.
Automatically, Publishing and Channels will be check-marked, allowing you to publish and pull data.
Name is the name of the profile you've connected.
Owned By is the user who connected the profile.
Publishing if checked, allows users to publish directly to the profile.
Channels if checked pulls the profile data to be displayed in the overview.
Status click refresh if you need to reauthorize or pull the latest data.
Delete a profile
Simply hover over the profile and a red trashcan icon will appear to the right. Click the trashcan and a popup will display.
If you're sure you want to delete this profile, go ahead and click Delete This Profile.
WARNING: If you delete a profile, it will delete any scheduled posts and all the channels data for that specific profile.
