Instagram Channels analytics are created by NUVI from the data NUVI aggregates from Instagram. The analytics update every two hours.
Please Note: If the account ever needs to be reauthorized, there will be gaps in the data from the time the account needed reauthorization, and onward.
Generally, Channels accounts will pull data from the time the user links the account forward.
Once the account has been selected, the account bar will appear showing the current amount of posts the account has published, followers of the Instagram account and the accounts the Instagram account is following.
The user can select a timeframe using the Timeframe drop-down to select a predetermined amount of time, or by selecting a custom date range.
Within the Snapshot, there are a variety of cards that hold various analytics. The first card is the Post Timeline. This card shows a timeline of all published posts on the day they were published.
Clicking a bubble will cause an engagement card to appear with the lifetime of engagements for that specific post.
The second card is called Posts By Day Of Week. This card shows the total number of posts published by day during the given time period. At the bottom of the card, you will see the best day for likes and comments. This number is based on the total number of likes and comments per post and which day totaled the highest in that category. If you hover over a specific day you will see the number of posts, likes, and comments.
The next card is named Engagements By Post Date. This card shows the total likes and comments during the given time period. Posts are aggregated by day, regardless of the post date receiving the interaction. This section shows daily traffic (interactions) on the given Instagram page.
The last card is named Posts By Time Of Day. This card shows the total number of posts published by the time of day during the given period. At the bottom of the card, you will see the best time of day for likes. This number is based on the total number of likes and comments per post and which time of day totaled the highest in that category.
