How to Create Monitor Alerts
Alerts notify you when certain keywords are used, influencers with certain scores make a post on a topic, sentiment percentage changes, or overall volume changes. These alerts can go to an email or text message group.
When open in a particular monitor, go to the settings icon in the top right of the page and select Alerts.
Once there, users can set a number of alerts for their monitor.
- Volume Change by %
- % Increase or Decrease in Positive Mentions
- % Increase or Decrease in Negative Mentions
- Sentiment is % more than counterpart
- Social influencer Score
- Social Profiles
Alerts are sent when all of the following criteria are met:
- Current Average is great than last hour
- Hour average is greater than day average
- Day average is greater than month average
Users can set alerts to be sent only at specific times of the day as well.
Users will have to set up an Email group to get email alerts for any options are set up. To do so, select + Add New Group. From there, users will create an email group name attached to any email they'd like to receive notifications.
After an email group is created, the user can select any group they'd like to receive emails. A list of the emails will be visible for users to see what emails will be sent.
Once all the alerts and email groups are set up, select Save Alert Settings. Once an alert is triggered an email will be sent from the email address, firstname.lastname@example.org.
From the email, users can view in the monitor where the alert occurred.
Users now also have the option for Text Alerts.
Once the name of the group and numbers are added, click Save Text Group.
Users will receive a text alert notifying of monitor alerts set up.
