Sentiment assignment happens in two ways:
1. NUVI partnered with Lexalytics, a leader in the sentiment analysis industry, to utilize their Semantria API to analyze data. As users interact with the data, altering the automatically tagged sentiment, the NUVI system continues to learn and adjust based on those user changes. This makes sentiment learning more accurate, bringing your attention to crucial discussions and conversations. Think of it like this: your phone comes with a predefined dictionary. When you start using it, it will autocorrect certain words because they aren’t in the dictionary. As you change the autocorrect back to the original, or select your preferred spelling of these words, the phone learns and the next time you use that word, it won’t autocorrect it or mark it incorrect.
2. Like the example above, when you start using Monitors Enterprise, you have access to out of the box sentiment industry packs. These are prebuilt packs of industry-specific words and phrases with the predefined sentiment. Monitors Enterprise saves you the time of manually assigning sentiment to each and every post.
