How to Use the Map Region Rule Set
When creating a new rule in a monitor, users have the ability to geofence where mentions are pulled from in a monitor. As seen in the example below, the monitor will only pull mentions that contain the phrase "food truck" and are within a 25-mile radius of New York City.
To create the map region, go to edit/create a monitor. Second, click add a new rule and find the Map Region rule in the drop-down.
On the map view, select the map region and it will automatically default to a 25-mile radius. The center button highlighted will move the entire circle. The outer button will adjust the radius, so users can make the region smaller or bigger based on need and coverage.
Only mentions that have their location turned on will be pulled into NUVI. Networks that can be pulled with the map region include Twitter, Instagram, and Google+.
Using the Map view in the monitor, users will be able to see that the mentions are coming from one location.
