This article will walk you through how to create monitor templates. Templates can be very helpful when creating new monitors or new rule sets within a monitor. They help streamline the process by giving you a quick easy way to create rules that need to be more mass produced/added to every rule group. For example choosing which languages you want your monitor to pull in, copying specific keywords, etc. The template is company wide so you can use the same template across all your monitors.
There are two main methods you can use to create monitor rule templates.
Method 1:
1. Click on the Settings tab in the top right of your Nuvi App.
2. Click on the company that the rule template will be for.
3. Select Rule Templates
4. From this page you can create new templates by clicking +New Template. You can also edit existing templates from this page.
5. Name your Template and select what rule you want it to contain. The example below is specifically for English mentions. Click Save
6. Go to your monitors and click create new monitor or edit monitor. Click Add Rule Group or click on any rule you want to add the template to. Follow step 3 from Method two.
Method 2:
Step 1:
Access your monitor rules by either selecting to create a new monitor or selecting edit monitor.
Step 2:
Click on the 3 dots on any rule of your monitor that you would like to turn into a template and select Save Rule as Template.
A pop up will then ask you to name your Template. Click Save once everything looks good.
After you click on save your screen will go back to the rule you were working on within your monitor. Make sure to refresh your page.
Step 3:
Click on the rule group you would like to add the template to. Click on the 3 dots button and select Add Rule Template.
Select the name of your template and click Add Rule Template.
Your template rule should now appear in your rule group.
You can now easily add this rule to any rule group on any of your monitors.
Note: Make sure you click on the first rule in a rule group when you want to add a template. The templated rule will be added as the last rule in the rule group.
